With our Budget Billing program, you can enjoy predictable and stable electricity bills each month.

Overview

Budget Billing helps you avoid big changes in your bill. This can be particularly helpful during darker winter months when you tend to use more electricity.

Here is how it works:

  • We calculate a Budget Billing amount for your CleanPowerSF generation charges.

  • We update this number every month based on a rolling average of how much energy you use.

  • Smaller, more frequent adjustments will help you avoid big changes in your bill.

 

Budget Billing For Your Entire Bill

Our Budget Billing program applies to the electric generation charges of your electricity bill only. PG&E, who manages the transmission and distribution portion of your bill, also has a Budget Billing program.

To make the most of Budget Billing, you should be enrolled in both programs so your entire electricity bill is covered. Enroll in PG&E’s Budget Billing Program, and you’ll be automatically enrolled into CleanPowerSF’s program. You can’t be on CleanPowerSF’s Budget Billing Program without being enrolled in PG&E’s.

To enroll in Budget Billing, you must contact PG&E. This ensures that your entire electricity bill is covered by Budget Billing as you will be enrolled in both CleanPowerSF and PG&E’s budget billing programs. Please contact PG&E at 1-800-660-6789 or visit pge.com/budgetbilling.
